The increased deployment of distributed generation calls for the coordination and interaction between transmission distribution levels. This requirement is particularly relevant planning purposes when renewable-based involved. Unfortunately, in current industry practice, network planners solve their problems independent each other, thereby leading to suboptimal solutions. Within this context, paper addresses integrated expansion problem systems where investments assets are jointly considered. Several alternatives available installation lines as well conventional generators at both system Thus, optimal plan identifies best alternative candidate under uncertainty associated with demand power production. proposed model an instance stochastic programming wherein characterized through a set scenarios that explicitly capture correlation uncertain parameters. resulting program driven by minimization expected total cost, which comprises costs related investment decisions operation. scenario-based deterministic equivalent formulated mixed-integer linear finite convergence optimality guaranteed. Numerical results show effective performance approach.
